WHAT WE DO

We breed Heritage Breed Poultry and Jumbo Coturnix Quail on a small homestead in Shelby, Alabama. We also make a variety of jams, jellies, preserves, hot sauces and other canned goods. Spring and Summer we grow a selection of produce, specialty hot peppers, and other plants & flowers.

Our Story

Matthew and Lauren were both born and raised in Homewood, Alabama. After graduating high school in 2005, Matthew pursued a career in Culinary Arts and Lauren was in outside sales for a major wholesale seafood company. Their combination of experience in sales and the food industry, combined with the passion for living a simple life off the grid, our dream of having a Homestead came to life in late 2019. We take pride in what we do, breeding chickens and quail as well as coming up with all kinds of new flavors of jams, jellies and hot sauces for quality. We currently reside in Shelby, Alabama near Lay Lake with our 2 children, Jackson and Remi.
